This festival easily takes the cake as one of my favorites to not only attend, but to be a part of. The crew behind Renegade Film Festival goes above and beyond to make this one hell of a fest and the official selections are review worthy! I had an absolute blast networking with fellow horror/genre lovers and I hope to attend this festival again. Renegade Film Festival was well worth the entry. The festival is super fun, filled with quality films and plenty of great filmmakers and industry veterans to network with. The venue is great and so is the city of Marietta where it is held. Vanessa and her team are super professional and ensure everyone has a great time with plenty of events spread over the course of the festival. Huge thanks to Vanessa and the Renegade team for putting together this badass festival! I'm over the moon that my short script "Hysterica" was chosen as a finalist and runner-up winner for the 2022 festival, and heartbroken that I couldn't make it. The Renegade Film Festival is communicative, supportive, professional, and just all-around awesome. So thrilled to be part of a festival that promotes unique voices and diverse filmmakers. Though I wasn't able to attend in-person due to issues with my flight, from what I researched on the area, The Strand Theater and Marietta Square location provide a fantastic venue for the fest. This is an absolutely fantastic festival. I was so honored to have my film screened here, among a fabulous selection of works by great filmmakers. Everyone I met was so nice and welcoming. This is a must attend festival, for so many reason. Foremost being, that I don't want to miss a single film. I saw almost all of them, and never felt disappointed. As a matter of fact, I wanted to meet the filmmakers. Luckily that's another big reason to submit/attend, most of them are there. It's a huge family of filmmakers from all over the world, some have been coming since the first (me). Renegade is full of such welcoming, incredible and loving people. I had such an amazing experience throughout the whole process and at the fest, itself. The festival director, Vanessa, is such an amazing human, and the films were so powerful. I highly recommend submitting if you have a genre film or screenplay that you care deeply about.
